Sold! Quebec musicians 'convictions'

[In 2009] the Journal de Montreal’s Richard Martineau provided the requisite ruminations on whether sovereigntist musicians deserved to be chastised for accepting Canada Day gigs. Mr. Martineau condemned those Quebeckers who treat such musicians as “traitors” and defended the performers’ right to accept what is often a very lucrative booking opportunity - and which is, in the end, just “a job like any other.”
